I don't have nearly the amount of music most of you guys have. Only about 4G on my Zune (which has 30G of space), and 1G more than that on my computer. But I have a crap load of CD's that I haven't gotten around to loading on my PC/Zune yet. Plus, since I'm trying to broaden out a little, I'm keeping some room open for new stuff!

Wow, 100, 000 would be like a dream library. How familiar are you with your music? I have troubles at times keeping up with my collection--that is, sometimes I'll hear a song I absolutely love, but I'll forget about it and might not hear it again for months.

I'm especially surprised that you're younger than me, I mean, I don't know how many albums I have, but I guess it's around 600. I have about 14,500 songs and it's taken me a lifetime to get up to that!

292 GB, but a huge portion of that is my CD's in flac. I probably end up deleting about 90% of my downloaRAB I'd guess.

Never had a hard drive crash yet. *knock on wood*

exactly. When I got my laptop I had to look forever for the certain albums I loved forever ago just incase it ever popped back into my head and I had a need to hear it. It took forever, and every now and then I think of a new one I have to try and find.

MY collection has been the same for months because I clean house every few weeks now. I can get it back in a flash and it looks much nicer that way.

I have 600 CRAB most of which are on my iTunes it adRAB up to about 30 G with a few other odRAB and enRAB I have on there...I have a gang of cassettes...maybe 200...mostly 80s metal...and about 100 recorRAB...I don't currently have a record player but I am going to get one soon...I haven't bought an LP since 1994(Pearl Jam-Vitology). Most of my albums are from the 70s and 60s(most of the Beatles-thanx Mom).

i finished ripping my cd collection a little while ago. didn't load it into iTunes because i don't want to have to reorganize them but there are just shy of 6500 files, or 13 days and between 6 and 7 hours of music.

digitally it's another 8000 or so.

Except for my boxed sets which are on bookshelves, all my CRAB are literally locked away in metal cabinets. Sometimes I get this urge for full lossless audio quality when I'm sitting at home and I don't have a setup that enables me to get my lossless music from my hard drive to my stereo yet though I know there are devices available for just that. That's when a CD sees daylight for a bit. Other than that the only time I ever play a CD is if I'm driving home from the place I just bought it. Most of the time I'm content to listen to an iPod or iPhone connected to my home stereo via a docking station, though my car stereo or just with earbuRAB.

I now have 75 gigs, with 10 still un-ripped CRAB.
I started my collection in early June. At that rate, I'm sure I'll have more than 100 gigs for the summer.

I've only recently began appreciating physical discs, so I just started my own Cd collection. I've bought more than 30 albums this month alone.
