The Meryl Streep character was depressed and devoid of any feeling due to her extended state of meltdown, and didn't really want the kid anyway, so Dustin won in the end. I think it was well written and true to life. Nobody copped out.:)

I agree it's woefully unfunny, and a rather excruciatingly poor film, but I wouldn't go as far to say it's the worst ever. I can think of quite a few that would be up for that nomination.... Terminator3, Chaos, Battlefield Earth, Dungeons & Dragons, Rollerball (2002).... ...the list goes on!!!
