It's a thoroughly silly and enjoyable Victorian "buddy cop" film. Ignore the title (it has little to nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes beyond the characters' names), and enjoy the lightweight actioner for what it is. I did.

A good programme, though I could have done without the self-obsessed Esther Rancid's two penn'oth.
