Is 'Sherlock Holmes' movie good?

It's a thoroughly silly and enjoyable Victorian "buddy cop" film.

Ignore the title (it has little to nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes beyond the characters' names), and enjoy the lightweight actioner for what it is.

I did.

Where in the media is this being said? I know Robert Downey Jr made a joke about Holmes and Watson being gay (clearly a joke since Holmes has a female love interest in the film and there isn't a hint of homosexuality) but I haven't heard a single soul anywhere say it was "too gay".

i thought it was really good. it obviously has a good budget, as the sets looked superb. even the blue screen finale looked pretty good.

i'd say it maybe took a little while to get going, but was certainly never bored - and i liked the little nod to modern times in the little twist at the end.

I thought it was an enjoyable film.

The action sequences were well filmed.

I thought the style of it was very similar to 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'.

I agree with other FMs that the relationship between Sherlock and Watson was a large part of the film and Robert and Jude had a good on screen chemistry.
