It's a proven fact that the stock anime art style has legs on its own. It may be the case that CN is looking for shows with that easily copied visual style, but not the drawn out plots or need for mass editing that anime itself often brings.

In my opinion Alter Bridge does not come close to Creed. Creed had many catchy well written albums/songs. (Weathered , Human Clay) While Alter Bridge seems to be a much less catchy not as well written copycat. and plus, Scott Stapp made creed happen.

Same could be said for Rowling, who, despite revealing Durabledore's sexuality AFTER THE FACT, really is a rather chaste writer.
