These messages may indicate that your programming expired because the SmartCards were not replaced and activated by the deadline. Follow these steps to fix this problem:
1. First, make sure your receiver's software is up-to-date by checking its version:

No its not normal. The delay between HD channel changes is typically about two seconds. The audio changes almost immediately but the black screen continues for close to two seconds. This is similar to what you typically find with digital cable.
A wait of five or six seconds is definitely not...
Are you sure those stations / shows are in HD?
HD picture quality has been discussed many many times on these forums. You may want to search around for lots of discussion and debate.
A little clarification.
If you have an internet connection and IP enabled receiver, then ordering a Pay Per View program is almost exactly like Cable except cable uses a private network to communicate back the order to the cable company while satellite uses a public one (the internet!) to...
I suspect an lnb or switch problem.
This type of thing has been discussed, and Bell said the users needed a new receiver, when in fact, the didn't, so you may want to search around this forum for threads discussing hardware issues.

Why doesn't Intallation company just say no to Bell or renegotiate the deal with them to get that extra $60?
I find it hard to believe that Bell just thought this up and implemented it without any feedback from installation companies. If they did it unilaterally, then it will backfire on them...
When sound and video problems occur on a single station you can pretty much guarantee the problem is the source station not the distributor (in this case, Bell)
