What can you write about that will make you laugh at yourself? An experience that concerns sillinness or tomfoolery or maybe even a hint of wackiness? Don't look so sad there guilty puppy. Aren't you glad you're not a guppy? Mo is the first name of Lester- I think I better go warn Questor...

'Spirit of the Bells" Is that a decent title for this?

My windchimes make melodies from under the eaves; every bell plays its tune for a lost child. The forces of nature are strange, free and wild; they are drawn to my essence as one who still grieves. I wear my mourning garb day after day, until night supplies my shroud as I drift into dream-land...

The Moonlit Garden is that a good title?

You hand me thorns for flowers and ask why I bleed. My tears salt my own wounds. To understand a love like ours, you have to see the need; which, in itself, is our doom. Demanding countless hours picking out the weeds, hoping something beautiful will bloom. Along came April showers, washing away...

A story for my friends and fellow POETS if you would care to read and comment?

Now back in the days when I was a noob and YAP was in a much better mood, all of the poets traded wits, critiquing or praising as they saw fit. At that time there were two who swore that all of our poems were a senseless bore. One was our Mighty poet-who knows-it, the other, yes, our Happy...

I love to dance , do you? And does this dance include Devo songs done by the Chipmunks?

Epileptic dancer, Chaos is playing our song. The strobe lights ensure seizures, And lit up limbs are lashed by lasers. Rave on oh my dearly demented, The air is overwhelming me, scented With the acrid alarm of short-circuit. The tempo is quickening, Now Berserk it! They are so hypnotic in the...

Do the good poets in this forum only read their friends' poems?

Well, sometimes you have to use gimmicks and tricks to get noticed. If you are a good writer, you also have a vivid enough imagination to think of one or the other. And sometimes you have to use bait to catch the bigger fish...LOL HEY! THIS could be one of those things!!! You're a genius!!!

...to another young poet? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091120193243AA3whqK Colliding comets killed the beasts That left us fuel for future wars To be fought over for thousands of years, As we circle the star that we call ours.
