Is 'nothing' a tough subject to write about?

You did a good job of this, Neon. I, too, responded to HH's challenge but, unlike yours, mine turned out to be a big, pile, of nothing.
 
(Hiram issued a challenge to write a sonnet about nothing, here is my nothing)

Bless These Words

To write about nothing does take ‘nothing’.
For words sprinkled upon a page takes care
less one investigates and finds something.
A metaphor perhaps, some meaning there.

But do your best to con-volute your words
and spin them true: abstract extract detract
does take a gifted mind to pen the ‘turds’
and smile awhile as meanings sought retract.

So click your pen to write of nothingness
and hope the guile will last until you’ve fled
as charlatans seldom survive success
unless they are invisible or dead.

So here’s to nothingness and emptiness,
please tip your cup and toast these words to bless.
 
Write about something and it's deemed as nothing, but it is something that nothing cannot detract from, only add to, thus creating more to deem nothing. Here comes that avalanching snowball!
With that said....there's a sonnet-type something in the uh....'nothing' you wrote? Coffee!!!!

without nothing you can never have something
and anything can leave places of somethings and nothings surrounding it
where it all ends up being everything, anyway
