I'm recording this too. I think I have seen this dozens of times. Yul Brynner is a fabulous actor, totally mesmerising.

This is one of my fave films and I think the plot has been explained substatially for the first posters. About the directors cut though- I dont like it as much. Its rubbed off all the ambiguity and some parts with the book seemed very clumsy. Better, film studies. :)

It's fine for me It's really not bad. But I usually only listen to di when I'm at work so don't have it up too loud or anything
