I checked and you have a total of six posts in this thread and the majority of those have been spent upsetting people over the past couple of pages. So, hardly plenty about the film...

The costs to run FSC are VERY minimal compared to the numbers given by most sites. A full year is less than 2k. That small amount of money would not be enough to encourage anyone to abandon all of the hard work that has been put into the site over the past 5 years. Also, outside of pathetic...

I think Carmen means in America, most places it went straight to dvd. It was a limited cinema run like a few mentioned above.

To a certain degree it did, because when it is a movie that relies heavily on effects that simply don't blend in with the movie, then yes it does affect your enjoyment. Matte lines, grainy picture, poorly intergrated creatures with the live action, some very obvious looking model work etc...

The vast majority of people saying it's a faithful adaptation clearly wouldn't know a Holmes story if they fell over one.
