How do people get into FTN?

and seriously, just look at the post times, my second post was an attempt to edit my first but it ended up as a quote, i tried to delete that thread at most 20 min after posts as i know its a bad thing to do.

anyway, im done with trading as it was killing too much time.
i understand i cant be trusted as i did post that thread and it is probably a good idea to DP me from your point of view but i do find it a little harsh DP'ing me for something i did on another site and something i immediately closed.
its like me cheating on something like amazon market and being banned on ebay.
 
Being an active member only recently here, I notice that most people don't even realize they are already members in great trackers.
I am also certain that many of them (myself included) didn't even know what on earth FTN is before joining this forum, yet they want to join in just for the hype that surrounds it. To put it simple, its how human nature works.
That "trackers level" thread helps to that btw. For the love of me I had no idea trackers were level measured :mellow: and if they are, they should be on a personal level, as in "Do I find the stuff I want in that tracker?" and not in a "omg I want in cause I am not in yet!" way.
 
From my experience, I'd say being active here combined with luck is enough to get invited there. The users with invites there need to be convinced that the person they're inviting could be a potentially good user.

To me they're just like most other tracker forums. They're not overly excellent, but they're not horrible either. However, I've never thought of them as dead. I actually think they're pretty active, considering probably something like 90% of the userbase belongs to the site for trophy reasons and log in only every once in a while.

If thre wasn't any hype, everyone would relaise that FTN is a tracker. With files, Scene stuff. Any Sceen tracer ahs Scene stuff. And FTN has forums, like most trackers, and these forums are.. just decent. Also FTN has few invites. That's all. Damn, what I'm I writing, noone wil listen to me and continue to trade to get into FTN. Damnit, there's no Sait Grale nor Philoshophers Stone. It's just a tracker, for God's sake.

Few announcements!
I'll get the webserver finished sometime this week (long overdue I know). Should make the site a lot faster.
Invites should be handed out shortly as well (again long overdue I know). Remember to choose who you invite wisely
And last but not least, we have a new addition to the site that I should be unveiling within the next couple of weeks which I'm sure you'll appreciate.
I'm also hoping to finally implement a new feature that should also raise a few smiles in regards to seed speed.

Don't ask me what the above new things are, its a surprise so bite your tongue.
