its a lot of work for no result... rear wheel doesn't stop you ..
when you grab a handful of front brake the bike moves all its weight on to the front wheel( that's why people can do endos on the bikes)..
bike manufacturers put twin discs on the front that are huge diameter & tiny little...
right now you can get the XR100 cheap... so buy it .. learn to ride for a year or so.. then sell it for the same price & buy something nicer....
better to throw the cheap XR 100 down the road... than a nice new bike..

& the best small dirt bike is a 2 STROKE..
if the cable is snapped the lever wont return when you pull it..but I would have thought the clutch would be Hydraulic???
if its the clutch then you may get some drive when you release the lever but not the full amount..

go to the local bike shop & buy the pads that suit your bike..
use a screw driver & carefully lever the pads away from the disc..(this pushes the pistons back in the caliper)..
you may need to use something thicker than the screwdriver once you get them part way back into the caliper..
