Aren't they mean? Just push the tool in and they should release. Try turning it in the bore. I hate them too. Split the connection and take out each half sometimes works. Good luck

Either a cracked head or a blown head gasket will cause water in the oil. How hot did the engine get and for how long? You may have damaged it , so that is not fixable and may require another engine. I'd get a quote on a rebuilt engine before fixing the one you have, it will be cheaper in the...

On the passenger side at the very front of the head, the block serial no. is stamped on the 1/4 inch "shoulder" Copy it down and you should be able to cross reference the no. on a website for engine size. good luck

You can "chintz it" by just filling it with bondo as is. To take out dents, drill a very small 1/8 hole, insert a self tapping screw, and pull on the screw with vice grips to remove the dent as best as possible, then fill in the rest. good luck

Probably a lot of miles and so a lot of wear, since it gets worse when warm, The oil is thinner so cushioning is less on parts. Get an opinion from a reliable source on how much life it has left, after all 17 years is pretty good service.
