From what I interpreted, there are several messages. People being persecuted for being different. If we are not careful this is our future, etc etc. The references to the holocaust are hard to miss. It must have been a pretty drastic measure for V to take by blowing up parliament. I only hope...

Just saw this film yesterday, rented it from Blockbuster. Thought it was absolutely fantastic. But my heart broke at the end when it told you the fates of the real Bielski brothers. Really moving. Excellent acting.
