For starters 3G means that you are to the local 3G network which is capable of delivering the Internet if you have selected wifi only for your Internet then you need to turn your wifi on to do so you can test your settings by leaving your wifi off and then trying to open your browser it should...

I don't think we need hard specs: really, the iPhone is probably going to win just through hype and momentum. It probably deserves to win in some ways, but it's a much more even fight this year.

For a low $400 price point and given the capabilities of the N8, I'd say its a well spec'd mid range phone.

I totally agree with this statement. Steve Jobs and his marketing team have that power. :doh: But it's alright, this is one diehard NOKIA fan who can live without an iPhone. ^__^ Also, the link I posted earlier about pre-ordering the N97 through Plemix has now been discontinued. I wonder...

I dunno, I don't really see them as competing handsets, the N97 is clearly a high-end phone with top of the range features, while the Impression (though nice) is clearly a mid-range handset with so-so features. The only thing in common really is the sliding QWERTY.

I held the power down for a couple of seconds, for about 5 seconds, for about 8 seconds, for about 10 seconds, for about 15 seconds, etc, etc, etc! !! ! It's been plugged in now for a couple or more hours and still as dead as a doornail! Nothing, absolutely no sign of life.

Hmmm I like windows 7 but I wouldn't recommend it to nobody Right now it lacks way too many features like adobe flash, copy and paste and Multitasking. Since your current phone its a Samsung D500 making a jump to windows 7 seems promising and exciting. Hardware seems better on the omnia 7 people...

I agree. There's a couple episodes in the series that I thought were subpar but Junklantis was just... ugh. That things deserves to be in a category of its own.
