Get a Thomson stem. Super stiff, light, clamps like a pit bull and bling. Truly top notch stuff. but you gotta pay for the awesomeness

I would stop looking at a Walmart bike now. If you want a road bike to ride on the road look at a cyclocross bike its pretty much a road bike but beefed up some. Or just get a touring bike or a mtb with slick tires
