there is only one way to differentiate i.e. to zoom in using a software and seeing after which zoom level the pixels appear.........in a 5 mpx camera the pixels will appear lter than the 3 mpx one

i think you network account has gone corrupt becoz of some reason..................try making a new account on the network once again.................if that doesnt work,try signing in after a month
