You're creating a false dichotomy. Something can still be defined as 'great' while still being capable of changing for the better. Your argument would make sense if he had used the word 'perfect,' implying there is no possible way to change it for the better.

If memory serves, only the Ruby/Spears episodes had copyrighted music in the show. The DIC (Do It Cheap) episodes featured original music. But that's another thing that can hold up the DVD releases. WB owns the Ruby/Spears episodes, and a few of the first DIC produced episodes, but I believe...

Quite a few cartoons have had jokes that take a slam at the censors, especially during the Silver age of WB cartoons and sometimes even recently like in Family Guy.

How do you think this will affect how many theaters it's carried in? On one hand, there's more showtimes; on the other, people wouldn't want to pay the same admission money they could spend on a 2 hour epic.

Let's not forget the funniest revival attempt: Petitions that only end up getting like 12 signatures, showing people how many people truly care about the show. If anything, these petitions with low counts would only convince the networks that they made the right choice to cancel the show.
