    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia E71

Could you (or anyone else who has the opportunity to compare them side by side) quantitate that a little? For instance: With the volume at 100%, my E61i pressed tight against my ear isn't even as loud as my E51 set just above HALF way and just held up loosely to my face.

ATTN: "Lesser of Two Evils" People v.election

You're creating a false dichotomy. Something can still be defined as 'great' while still being capable of changing for the better. Your argument would make sense if he had used the word 'perfect,' implying there is no possible way to change it for the better.

Dreamworks CGI Features are Simply Funnier Than Pixar CGI Features

LOL yeah, that's a bit of a stretch there. I still fail to see what makes Dreamworks animated features consistently funnier than a Pixar movie. Considering all the bad characters and mediocre movies that have come out. I still don't know why Jackie Chan was cast for several lines of rather...

"24: Day Zero" Webisodes Talkback (Spoilers)

I don't think this is exactly going to be a groundbreaking series. I guess I should be trying to divorce myself from the series portrayals of these characters, but it's kind of hard to ignore how different Tony looks, how different Mason sounds, etc. especially when they're not really giving me...

Alvin & the Chipmunks question my room-mate had

If memory serves, only the Ruby/Spears episodes had copyrighted music in the show. The DIC (Do It Cheap) episodes featured original music. But that's another thing that can hold up the DVD releases. WB owns the Ruby/Spears episodes, and a few of the first DIC produced episodes, but I believe...

Clich矃artoon Jokes that Never Get Old

Quite a few cartoons have had jokes that take a slam at the censors, especially during the Silver age of WB cartoons and sometimes even recently like in Family Guy.

Toon Zone Talkback - "Thundercats": A Critical Retrospective

Now's as good a time as any to publicly welcome Toon Zone News' newest reviewer JerryvonKramer, who totally nails all the good stuff and bad stuff about what I remember about Thundercats. Also worth mentioning that Thundercats is available as free, legal, streaming online video from AOL's In2TV...

South Park - "Mysterion Rises" - Talkback [11/3]

Who are technically the same being. :p (A shame that was never commented on in "Imaginationland.")

Winnie The Pooh's recent film's incredibly short length

How do you think this will affect how many theaters it's carried in? On one hand, there's more showtimes; on the other, people wouldn't want to pay the same admission money they could spend on a 2 hour epic.

    The Family Guy Revival Misconception

Let's not forget the funniest revival attempt: Petitions that only end up getting like 12 signatures, showing people how many people truly care about the show. If anything, these petitions with low counts would only convince the networks that they made the right choice to cancel the show.

Toon Zone Talkback - "Guardians of Luna" Preview: Good Moon Rising

Same poster/promo image as the one from a long while back, but at least an official website is finally up. Hopefully that means the series has been picked up and really will be airing in 2007 some time. Would be disappointing if it was just to promote the comic.

    Cartoons rejected for unfounded reasons.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone heard of other cartoons rejected for reasons which weren't really valid. I meant to close my first post out on this, but left the library in a hurry.

    Throwing things into the Sun

Actually, that was Leela, and she said that the rents were exceedingly high for an apartment on the sun. It's funny, because the sun is a star, not a planet. :p
