Top 5 list "dislikes" about GTA4

the more closterphoic streets and relasictic car controls make it more fun for me, its like im actually trying to get across a real town and not a ghost town with 4 lane roads (ie vice city). this is all opinion and has nothing to do with the game.

i have never had a bad spot becasue, i have complete control of where the camera is...

when auto aiming (fully holding lock on down) aim up alil and it will still be locked onto the target but you will get head shots, like XaPU!M said, you could literaly take out a whole warehouse with a pistol.

this is just a shinny version of the old games i and alot of other people here have no idea what your talking about it plays just like GTA, maybe your comparing it to another game becasue youve been playing it alot. i know when i first started play it i was like "wtf car controls" but then i remembed that ive been playin Gran Turismo for about 3 weeks then this..

im about 15% in...

can you really not collect cars at any time? Like you dont get a big garage or anything?

That shit sucks...the game as a whole though is fucking badass.

The driving only sucks when they make you use a certain vehicle. Because for some reason that particular vehicle is the worst at everything in the game. The first bike mission had me pulling my hair out, the cars used for delivering Jacobs goods and the cop cars used to chase down people on missions.

For some reason they suck extra to control and never want to move off the line quick enough or recover from a crash.

But give me the same car just to race around in from errands and I can drift perfectly and snake through traffic without getting snagged on something. You get used to that after an hour or so.

No clue when they drop their abilites. And I'm far enough in the game that I'd rather go do the missions then go bowling when I get the calls. But I always agree when they call, then call them back and cancel and it doesn't lower your friendship

Heres mine

1) Less cars and less weapons than last gen GTA's..whats up with that?

2) Less seems to be a common theme in this game...I wish there were more side activities like sports, bmxing and maybe some working out.

3) Driving...the cars cant make turns for the life of them. You have to slow down to 15 miles an hour and pray for a clean turn. The old GTAs had awesome driving. The motor bike is really tough to drive in this...in Vice city riding a motorbike kicked ass...in this game it sucks ass.

4) Rockstar dropped the ball with the PSN online server/feature. There server cant handle all the users so a good amount of games freeze up at the begining loading screen because it tries to automatically connect to the full servers right when you start the game. How was Rockstar not prepared? They new full well the game was going to sell and lots of people were going to be in their PSN servers. Hacks

5) Theres really nothing that seperated itself from the last gen GTAs..The music hasnt got better..maybe the fighing, gun controls, gps and cell phone feature but other than that it seems like just another GTA game

On that not its still a great game and worth the buy...Im just confused as to why the last gen games have more feautres? Maybe they needed to cut back in order to fit it on a 360 disc?

its the same as saying the more seasoning you put on a piece of shit, the better it taste.

EVERYTHING handles like shit in that game, EVERYTHING. The motorcycle and the garbage truck have the same driving feel.

Well if have the PS3 version and perfer the classic GTA controls (X for drive and Square for brake and reverse) then no matter how much of a driving prodigy you are like many world class high rolling dubai businessmen here at rabroad are...You are completey screwed because you will have to take your finger off the gas pedal in order to change your view.

Sure it only takes a few seconds but sometimes you dont have a few seconds in a game of carjacking and police chases. I never remember having this problem in Vice City. Like i say the driving is not bad once you adjust...you have to go slower and ride youre brakes like a soccer mom. I howerver had more fun in the older versions, they seemed more intense

Oh well...i guess GTA4 can do no wrong and i just suck at the game

The graphics are terrible. They are aliased, blurry, get tons of clipping, slowdown, and are choppy. I have NO idea how this game got a 10.0 in graphics, when there are games out there like GOW and Bioshock.

I really think the graphics distract from the gameplay.

Whatever, my point is that if you are going to complain about what the game doesn't have it should be things that are Rockstars fault, not the fault of the user. Most people can drive the vehicles, it's not rocket science. Sure there was a learning curve, that lasted all of 30 minutes to an hour. The driving and the camera are easily controlled - and there is no learning curve to the camera. Therefore those who complain about it are bitching about user error not game error.

Hell my game wouldn't load last night and I had to go through a bunch of bullshit to get it working properly. That pissed me off, and it loses HUGE points in my book for that. But requiring the player to use the breaks in the car isn't exactly something anyone should be bitching about.

I'm starting to get used to the new driving, but I still prefer the older gta driving style. This makes me want to replay the older gtas

oh, I'm also pretty disappointed with multi-player. I have yet to play all the different types of games, but from what I have played...very disappointed. Maybe I'll start to like it later, i dunno.

I didnt like the driving at first but i got used to it and dont mind it anymore. I think the movement and combat is pretty clunky though.

I actually like the driving, and im pretty particular because thats one of the things i always enjoy most in gtas, just flying through the streets like I wish i could in real life .

I thought it was shit at first but after playing for a while and getting a feel for the different cars im maaaaad handlobraesing now, sons.

Especially in cops n crooks. the friends i play online with were asking me "wtf? do you just drive around all day on gta or something?" pretty much.

The bikes arent too bad either, theyre just a little squirrely. As they would be in real life gunning it constantly and flying through traffic i suppose.

Its fun leaning up on the NRG and PCJ and drifting it around corners and shit and flying through traffic, though that usually ends in a quick trip to the nearest hospital.
