I took out mortgage in 1999 with B and B and have statements showing I paid payment protection up to 2006 when I switched to Alliance and Leicester because of the banks nationalisation. How do I proceed with a PPI claim by myself

I took out mortgage in 1990 with Alliance and Leicester and although I don't recall paying for PPI I do recall ASU Payment, am I still eligible for a claim. Do I need all paperwork for mortgage and where best place for info on how to make claim myself
