yes synced is downloaded.. it's hardly noticeable..
if your account it synced 4 days, anything within 4 days will be on your phone. anything more than for days will get the 'loading' screen for about 1-2 seconds while it downloads the email..
i guess it could be used to look over old emails...
i'm guessing you need to upload a view (virtual table) that references a table (with the dataset) that you can edit when you want..

depends on what it is.. if it's from a scholarship, then no, but you may have to do them a favor later on in life (work for 2 years in a 'at risk' school district, etc)
