Seems to me if you don't know jack about cars, you need to drop it off and pay what they say. Your other options would be: A) Buy a new one. B) Rent one for your trip. C) Take a bus. D) Call a cab. E) Throw parts at it aimlessly until you run out of money, or it starts.

It's probably leaking oil on the spark plug boots and filling the spark plug holes. Check for oil leaking out of the valve cover gaskets, and pooling up near the coils and fuel injectors. If you see any traces of oil unscrew the bolt that holds each ignition coil, and lift the coil and silicone...

If there's a problem with the ignition system. You need to test it rather than throw parts at it. It's pretty easy really. Have you tested the cam position sensor? When you crank it, does the PCM even know it's cranking? Are you sure it isn't getting spark, or is it just flooding out the plugs...

The MASS airflow sensor is part of your air intake. If you remove it your PCM has no way to detect how much air is coming in, and therefore has no way to know how much fuel to supply. You never want to remove sensors from your car. That would be silly. Leave it alone if you don't know anything...

Sleeve the block, and add a turbocharger, along with all the needed supporting fuel mods, then tune it with Hon-data.

There may be a tiny singularity inside your headlamp housing. It's like a black hole; nothing escapes, not even light. Have you tried turning the light on, and then placing it into the housing?

It sounds to me like the water pump broke apart, and destroyed the timing belt. The thermostat has wax inside it to control when it opens and closes, so if it overheated there's a good chance the wax leaked out, and the thermostat will no longer open when it should, causing further overheating...
