    Samsung DVD-R130 and ExpressVU

Hi Mike, I don't really have an answer but I tried some bad codes on my 3100 in 6.1.7 and can't get it to even reject them, so this is really strange. You didn't say what BEV unit you are using and how it is wired to the DVDR (coax, composite or SVHS, etc.). It should work, even with just...

    Changing Programming Online

I just called to cancel NHL Center Ice for the summer, only to be informed I had cancelled it on May 21. All I did on May 21 was change some theme packs using the internet.. So the problem still exists and once again the service rep just noted it but did not notify anyone about the problem. This...

Enhance Programming dropped NHL Center Ice

The "contact us" brings up a set of specific topics, none of which relate to the Web site. They relate to Bell services. I chose TV and it was answered by a CSR just saying they had restored Centre Ice. I replyed and asked who to notify and the suggested "e security" which didn't seem right but...

Enhance Programming dropped NHL Center Ice

Just a heads up for anyone with NHL Centre Ice. The latest version of the Bell Web site's "Enhance Programming" dropped Center Ice while adding some theme packs. Strange since Center Ice is not even an option in the program. A CSR fixed it, but said they have nothing to do with Web site bugs...

    Pay per channel

I took the $35/mo from my bill. I can't find it on the website directly either. You can calculate it from the digital basic offer. Click details. Then "offer and pricing details". It says $33 (includes timeshift which is $1 and is optional) and mentions $3 digital service fee in the fine...

    Pay per channel

With no theme packs, only individual channels from theme packs ending in 2 or 3 are available. And the price is $2.50 each compared to $8 each for the first 2 theme packs and then $23 for 5 themes. So you really can't select individual channels in a cost efficient manner. And you pay $35 for the...

    HDD/DVD Recorder with a 3100

Somebody in the AVS DVR forum solved this a while ago. See http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=566167&highlight=eureka Note the extra step in note #29 for powering off. Andy...

    HDD/DVD Recorder with a 3100

It's a infrared cable as you suggested. It's for using the 533 to control a set top (cable) box from the TV Guide Online listings in the 533. But you can't get these listings the channels on a satelite dish. And I don't think the 533 has a code for controlling a 3100 anyway. Only cable box codes...

    HDD/DVD Recorder with a 3100

Try it with the 2 units facing each other or stand in front of it and let the IR signal bounce off you to the DVR. If that fails, try it with a VCR to see if the signal is there at all. Use the 3100's "test VCR" (Menu - 6-1-7). If all fails maybe the 3100's IR is defective. There seem to be a...

TCM/TCMHD & CNNHD added to Bell TV line up

The Program Guide listings for TCM and TCMHD are inaccurate starting Saturday Jan 9 at 4:30 AM. Looks like they listed a bunch of movies that have played recently, instead of the ones that are scheduled on TCM's web site. I reported it to Bell yesterday. The Bell Web site lists the same errors.

    HDD/DVD Recorder with a 3100

That's all I did. If you turn the DVR off/on a couple of times it will remind you about the incomplete setup and eventually give you an option to turn the TVGUIDE off permanently. Be carefull when you are playing back recordings or when you are in the menu of the DVR. If the 3100 tries to start...

    HDD/DVD Recorder with a 3100

The signal from the 3100 is sometimes weak. You may have to deflect the IR signal coming out of the front right of the 3100 and/or position the 533 to best receive the IR signal. VCR Codes 573 and 575 work for the 533 dvr. It's working quite well for me with the 533 left on all the time. Note...
