Usually a bad ground connection. Make certain it is super grounded. Then check it again.

Not really a great idea, especially if you still have a factory stereo. The unit those come with looks to have 140w rms per channel, which no head unit will ever supply. They won't come close to sounding the same as they do hooked up to the unit they came with.
