Removing Car Stereo Without Metal Keys?

ive used hack saw blades and cut strips from cans and used those. any thin fairly stiff piece of metal should work.

I think i've used thin metal coat hangers before and just bent hooks in the ends...

I have a Dual XDM6820 CD player. The aux cable that plugs into the back has shorted out so I have to pull out the stereo but I threw away the little metal "keys" that come with the stereo to pull it out.

Is there another way to pull the stereo out?
