SURPRISE SURPRISE Study finds that organic food has no benefit

"Inorganic medicine" is fine to put in your body....but inorganic food will kill you!

Wish it was untrue. Most endurance athletes are blood doping....many are taking EPO. Cyclists take testosterone too.

I don't think it's a terrible thing. Make it legal for everyone...because testing is always playing catch up and there is no penalty for the millions the athletes make. Marion Jones only went to jail because she perjured herself.

If you're an athlete and you don't use PED's....you're an idiot. There is no real punishment and you stand to gain millions.

It wasn't until the mid-to-late 1800s that washing of hands became common practice.

Regardless, we can argue that not washing hands is "healthier" because it was done "for thousands of years."

I would think pesticides and fertilizers (non organic of course) would be worse for the environment than a larger footprint.

Because deaths from heat stroke haven't been rising or anything due to a warming climate

Point 2: The title of the thread is Study finds that organic food has no benefit. So benefit being an all encompassing term there since health isn't specified.

As to the labelling aspect, I agree.

As to whether or not organic food is healthier or better for the enviornemnt, it's really simple. Spray shit on your crops (that don't require bees for pollination) to kill all the bugs. The bugs die. Yay, non-organic is better! Well, but not to the neighboring farm, which grows something that requires insect pollination. Now their crops won't bear fruit. Oh well, right?

Isn't one of the benefits of organic farming that it doesn't degrade the soil overtime?

Penn and Teller did an episode on organic foods by the way. They usually put links to cited material in their show notes on the website. So that might be worth checking out for those of you that give a shit.

cliffs: nobody ITT knows shit. everyone is just supposing this and that.

i suppose i'm ITT too though

From a common sense stand point something that hasn't been processed with pesticides and hormones should be better for our bodies. I know everyone trolls the fuck out of every post in this forum so I'm not going any further than that.

He's actually correct. Try buying something cheap that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup...

I'm surprised EC hasn't been back in this thread yet. He gets owned all the time, but usually he comes back to keep the trolling going strong.

He's actually wrong.
Veggies and rice are cheap.

It's expensive to eat healthy at a restaurant. People just don't like to take the time to cook their own food and look up recipes. If you're not buying Doritos and pop-tarts you can actually buy cheap and healthy food....just people tend not to.

Ah yes, laziness and the entitlement mentality strikes again. This is really the crux of all our problems.
