ironic since usally it's the other way around..

SoI guess shit didn't work out like they had planned? (I haven't kept up to date)

That's what I mean... they're on the hook for all of it IMO. Every service company they bring on site is "safety first, follow protocol, do it right" and they're cutting corners to get around it. They aren't the only producer to do things this way, but it's really blown up in their face. I hope other producers take notice.

It's a real shame what this is doing to the ecosystem and economy of the Gulf coast, and BP should pick up the tab.

And given that a failed top kill could worsen the situation, they've probably double, triple, and quadruple checked all of their numbers, both internally and via third parties.

Did you even watch the video you linked me? Bill Nye said pretty much exactly what I said only a little bit more scientific and eloquently.

Yeah, but the issue is that it is leaking all the way down the riser where it ballooned from the pressure.

Oh well, we just have to see what the next move is going to be.

Not worth reading. Some good posts but nothing out of the ordinary. Just some of OT's oilfield crew coming out.

Just waiting to see if anything can come out of the Top-Kill but I doubt it.

Still wish they would have cut the riser from the beginning like what we had talked about weeks ago.

Here is THE BOP you see in the video.

This will help you get a size scale of this piece of equipment. (OLDDDDD Cameron unit)

Here is a photo of the BOP on the Horizon.
