I find the zoom picker widget in the browser and other viewer apps quite annoying. It takes valuable screen space and distracts from reading when appears and disappears. I would suggest to make it:
1) smaller
2) semi-transparent
3) to appear only on special gesture or shake (not on each scrolling)
4) disabled (as an option) when pinching zoom is available
I hope Android developers take this suggestion under consideration
