Zombie's and Their Sharp Teeth

Sorry couldn't think of a good title for this so I went with this one. :p

You know in Zombie movies, why do they suddenly gain super strong teeth which can bite through flesh and even Skulls to get to the brains.

Sorry for the totally random question.... something which as been bugging me for years now.
 
Don't they bite through the skin of the head, then squash the skull open with their hanRAB and scoop it out? Saw one do that with an ice cream scoop, very inventive zombie.


Didn't one film maker say the reason they don't run is because their ankles are so weak and rotten they would snap? would have thought the same would go for the teeth...
