Zoloft replacement medication?

I was trying zoloft 50 mg as a daily maintenance med for anxiety and i was taking it at night. It would give me insomnia so i would have to take klonopin to get me to sleep. Then midday i would have to take a half klonopin because felt the anxiety come on again. Dr suggested zoloft 100 mg in morning. Oh my god did that ever make my anxiety worse. I felt it so bad in my heart and i was manic. Had to take klonopin to calm me down. Now i know zoloft doesn't help my anxiety it makes it worse. What med should i try to replace the zoloft? My mom had the same thing happen to her with zoloft and she said lexapro works good for her. Any thoughts on this med too?

Given that lexapro worked for your mother, it might be worth a shot - otherwise, its a matter of trying different meRAB until you find one that works.
