I just got prescribed zoloft.. just took my first one last night, woke up.. have bad dhiarrea, feel like i'm gonna vomit, and having slight headaches and feeling a bit dizzy. is this normal beginning side effects of Zoloft anyone know ?

Yes, it is. And be prepared to feel worse before you fell better. Give it at least 6 weeks before expecting to see the full benefits from Zoloft.

No that is not normal and If it were me I think I would not take any more for a week then try it again and see if same thing happens if it does the doctor can prescribe you a different one. You might just simply be coming down with the flu or cold so hold off a week and try again. If you want to keep taking them but those symptoms gets worse or don't go away after a few days then stop taking and call doctor. Good luck. Never take a medication that gives you those kinRAB of symptoms without consulting the doctor that prescribed it. The cure isn't suppose to make you sick.

thank you for the feedback but, i forgot to mention something probably important to the question i asked, I am also taking antibiotics (zithromax) for a throat infection, and that is said to give you dhiarrea also, i'm thinking maybe the corabination of the two is just making it worse

That's certainly possible, but I have taken Zolft by itself (this was a few years back) and I distinctly remeraber the diarrhea. I think it only lasted a few days though. Zoloft was the only antidepressant that I had that problem with. Zoloft is also well known to have the worst gastrointestinal side effects than any other SSRI antidepressant.
