Zoloft 25mg dose?

Long story short, this will be my third time on Zoloft. I have been on it for a year each time with about a year off in between. The past two times I have been on 25mg for a week and then on 50mg for the rest of the time.

This time, the doctor said take 25mg (I had some left over) and then he called in a prescription for 25mg.

My question is has anyone had 25mg as their prescribed dose? Seems like 50mg is really the minimum but should I just see if 25mg works after a couple of weeks?
 
Give 25mg 6-8 wks to see if it works for you. It did not work that much for me, so I went to 50mg, and it worked better, but not much, so now I'm at 100. But everyone is different, and 25 might work for you. 50mg is the therapeudic dose I believe.
 
Hi scott1360, I was wondering the same thing. I was started on 25mg. also, it has been 3 weeks now & I think it helped me right away. I don't have a severe anxiety prob, just edgeyness.
