Ugh, soon I'll be three episodes behind. Not really my fault, and homework is finished easily, but... the browser I use for watching videos and listening to music is frigging retarded and doesn't know it's supposed to work and not stop when the video is loaded. Because I have high speed, and this is ticking me off. XD It stops the video half way through COMPLETELY.

I recently finished the first season and it was great. Can't believe I missed the original airings. :/ Anyways, 2nd season is on it's way and the Episodes are still unknown. Maybe 13 or 26, but probably 13.

Discuss away.

Cliffhanger? In mah Natsume?

That was quite an unexpected ending. It was well done, nevertheless. I do hope the girl becomes a regular cast meraber.

Heh, apparently Crunchyroll is going to stream Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-01-01/crunchyroll-to-post-natsume-yujin-cho-anime-on-monday

Anyway, can't wait for this. Hopefully it won't disappoint and keep the same quality as the first season.

Wait, wait, which episode is that? XD *still behind because her laptop hates Kuorshitsuji, and Kuroshitsuji cursed her laptop so she can't watch much of Natsume* lol

See appears in manga scans from Jan 2009 so it looks like she will be a regular.

I hope she isn't going to be a love interest though.

Episode 5.

*slaps self* Thanks for telling me that, that's the episode nuraber I was actually wondering what I was on. Maybe I'll watch all the episodes on March break, at least the ones that are out, before I go to the convention. My laptop... why is it so retarded?! *hugs it anyways* I like this series too much. -.-; Maybe I'll use a different site to watch episode 5 on..

I loved this series. Even though I only watched like 7 episodes. Very soul cleansing. I'm gonna go watch the rest of it.

Hopefully they'll have some more money to spend on animation, which was great but you could tell they were on a tight budget.

PS - Brains Base ****ing own.

I watched episodes 5 and 6 the other day. I was going to watch episode 7 and episode 19 of Kuroshitsuji today, but I have a cold and wouldn't be able to.. sad because I was going to watch Kuro for sure but my head hurts too much and my family thinks I'm lying.

Isn't Tooru from the manga?

Episode 1:

The opening song was pretty good.. but it seemed like it would fit an Adventure/Action anime better. It did fine with this though. The animation quality stepped up a notch I see; I didn't see anything wierd with it at all.

Anyways, great episode to the season. Kicked it off with some 'Action' and a good plot with a splash of Comedy in between. The whole episode was involved in the storyline for this specific episode, from start to end; which is something I don't see a lot.

Episode 08 wasn't all that great, but it was a quick neat story that wrapped up quick. I'd say nothing of substance but ok. Why is it that some Youkai disintegrate when they get their names returned, and some do not?

I think it's because those spirits are--or used to be--malevolent. Tsubame, sweet as she was, turned into a demon when her siblings died. Riou had been locked up by the humans he loved and learned to hate them for it; And our little fish lady turned bitter because...actually, I didn't pay too much attention to this episode, so I'm not sure why.

The point is, all the malevolent spirits vanish in the end because they've been put to rest. I also noticed that all of them had their names taken by Reiko. I guess she likes 'em bad. XD

Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou is one of the few shows I was looking forward to this season and it hasn't disappointed.

The budget has clearly been stepped up which shows in the OP and generally in the fluidity of the animation through out the episode. All it's other elements remain consistently good but we weren't going to see anything too special in the first episode as it is mostly spent establishing the basic facts for new viewers. No emotive Tsubame level / delicious shota fox episode yet. Yet.

Oh, and the OP is fine for a slice of life show.

Hmmm it seems like that in most cases but it didn't happen Mikuri in Episode 05 S1 as one example. Maybe it has more to do with the spirits that actually have done something to humans. Because most of the spirits hate humans but they stay away from them. The one's we see are the one's that actively try to interfere with humans. Also i think high level Youkai are exempt because of course Madara is always around as well as that Dragon guy, and the woman that's enfatuated with Reiko...as well as the spirits that follow Natori Shuuichi around...anyways it's interesting.
