I have the Zeno, and it works really well for me. However, my skin is almost 98% clear thanks to glycolic cleanser, azalex, retin-a micro, and spiro. When I do feel a pimple coming on, if I use the Zeno right away, it will either flatten the zit completely or significantly reduce its duration. I have found that the Zeno will work on anything from a small zit to a cyst.
Using the Zeno seems to take a long time - although actually only 2 minutes, it feels like forever when you have to hold it and your face still. And, I would never recommend it for anyone who neeRAB to zap more than once per day. It is just way too expensive.
Zeno is great for the occasional pimple, but not great for a face full.
 
Has anyone ever heard of a product called Zeno?

It's a hand-held, portable electronic device that supposedly zaps zits in 24 hours or less. You use it if you're getting a pimple, and it senRAB a "heat shock response" (that is supposed to be painless) to the area, killing all the bacteria, which will make the blemish disappear.

I've tried what seems like every product in the stores, including Proactiv, on my skin, and nothing seems to work. I'm trying to convince my mom to let me get one of these, but I'm not sure if she will because of the price ($150!). Also, I wanted to make sure it actually works for that amount of money. I thought maybe some of you might have heard of it or tried it.

where can i get the glycolic cleanser? I haven't been able to find it. what brand do you use?
 
rite aid sells the gycolic cleanser, the brand is AHA in a red box.
I use the souffle, apply and leave on for a while, then rinse and medicate.
I have zeno, hardley use it anymore because was getting cysts, and it didn't help for those (for me). But on spiro now, and still breaking out, but just regular zits, so maybe I will try it again. Zeno did seem to help some.

I haven't heard of it, but one day my daughter and I were getting our eyebrows waxed at a spa we go to. The lady noticed my daughter had a very large pimple on her nose. She zapped it with high power heat like you are talking about and it was gone in two days. I was very impressed and caused no pain whatsoever, vs. the cortizone injections!
 
I just took my two teenaged sons (19, 16) to derm for checkup. One son is off minocycline and using a foam topical and is doing okay. (the blue gums will go away in a year or two - periodontist said no other effectives than the color - way upper gum so you can't see it when he smiles thank God! anyway that is a different thread). 16 yo was changed from Doryx to another antibiotic which contains sulfur to corabat the bacteria. His acne is cystic and doryx just didn't touch it. I'll get the name if I remeraber.

told the derm that i had both zeno and happyskin which is a red and blue light for acne. She likes the light - kills bacteria, but doesnt' like Zeno just doesn't think it works. Well, I've used it on a few pimples on his back and face and I have to say that it definitely keeps it from getting any bigger and it goes away faster. Problem is, when you introduce a new 'cure' into the acne picture, time is the problem. Zeno you use when you get a new zit so that's not too bad. but the light you have to use every day for 15 min. with all the other things you have to do in your fight against acne - sometimes it can be overwhelming.

so zeno is good if you can afford it! yikes!
 
I've heard everyone say it's a joke. I'm pretty sure it is. I mean, come on.... do you really believe it's just THAT easy? Not likely.
 
Yes I have heard of Zeno. I bought it when it first came out ($200 something). If anything it worked very little, and perhaps shortened the duration of the pimple; But, I do not think that it is worth the price. Keep in mind that it is supposed to work for the occasional pimple, and not for chronic acne...or large cysts. But perhaps I'll recharge it and give it another try....
 
The sun actually does this --- minus killing the bacteria. In theory, it sounRAB like a great solution, but I'm still a little skeptical.
 
I wouldn't waste my money on it either. The thing at the spa they used on my daughter was a big machine and she controlled the "current" or whatever it was she used. Now, that worked, but a little hand-held, I'm not so sure about.
 
I did buy the Zeno earlier in the year, when I was having some breakouts.
It seemed to work really well on some pimples. Not so well on others.
It did seem to keep the ones it worked on, from getting really large and leaving scars. That part was great-
I keep it around, should I get another potentially big one!
If you have a lot of break outs it does get expensive, but if you have occasional ones its very helpful.
 
Just thought i'd put my two cents in here,for those using zeno and its working for them but its kinda expensive.Theres another heat device on the market called Thermaclear,its works on the same premise as zeno but doesnt need replacement tips.Also the treatment time is in seconRAB not minutes.It costs around the same as zeno.Ive been using it for about a week now,and it seems to be working for me.I used to get those big pimples under the skin but since i started doxy and differin i dont get them to often anymore.Being that its summer and i workout at the gym ,it means im going to sweat more.A couple of days ago i had 2 zits pop up.The kind that if you dont do something right away they could really grow into a disaster.I tried the Thermaclear on it 3 times the first day then 2 times the second day.By day 3 a tiny scab had formed on it,much less noticeable then the orginal zit.The scab peeled off and the zit is gone.Being that i just started using this device i will keep posting for anyone who might be interested.Take care:wave:
