Zemeckis Thinking About Roger Rabbit 2

I'll only believe this is possible when it is 75% completed or more. And even then, I'll be deathly afraid of a second Indy 4.

And people think I'm crazy when I say that. But my mom took me to this when I was kindergarten-age and she felt like she'd been sold a much sunnier film than what it actually turned out to be like. I wasn't expecting that kind of movie either -- I'd seen nothing in animation like when that shoe got dipped. And then when Doom revealed he was a toon I nearly ran out of the theater. Yeesh, the innocence was over.

It's gotten better with age, though. Now I can't see it enough times. It's just amazing how not a single computer was used.

I think I heard two years later that the MPAA found a couple more things in the film that would have made them rate it PG-13 if they had known.

I think the fact that they didn't use computers like the cartoons of the 30's and 40's made it so much more special. I can imagine they would just use cgi and all kinds of modern crap to spoil the look of the film. I would have loved a sequel years ago, but it's probably best to leave it alone. Don't tarnish this classic.

See, I don't get this. Making a sequel, no matter how crappy, doesn't affect the original piece at all. It's still there, unchanged (okay, unless you happen to be Star Wars). There's no logical way a sequel should have any effect on the enjoyment of the initial installment.

I really do wanna get excited about this seeing as I am a huge fan of Roger, but on the other hand I have been let down by false rumors about Roger sequels so many times before. If we get more concrete information at some later point I might be more optimistic.
