So I guess it comes down to the following list..

Do I do Zaino
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ZKIT-2&Category_Code=Zaino&Product_Count=3

or Swissvax Master Collection

Do you think the Swissvax is worth the money? Or is it a waste and should I just get Zaino?

I would also get...
Microfiber Restore Detergent
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=283

Microfiber Blue Towel
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=85

Microfiber Applicator Pads
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=86

Grit Guard Buckets
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=156

Leather Brush
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=281

Foam Kit
http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=125

Note, i'll be using this on my car too, hence the leather stuff.

Can anyone link me to a good cheap air compressor I can plug into the wall with a coil tube? I want something that can blow water out of my mirrors and those hard to reach places to dry.

Unless you plan on detailing your cars as well, the Swissvax kit is definitely not worth the money. I mean, do you really need the leather treatment and the tire dressing?

Personally I just use Zaino Z5 (for darker colors and has some light filler for swirls) after clay bar'ing and a quick polish w/ the Flex Tool + Menzerna 106FF. It's durable enough that usually I just need a quick detailer to clear off any waterspots or dust that develops and it always feels smooth and slick.

Remember the surface preparation and cleaning is 90% of the shine. That top layer of wax/sealant is only another 10%.

I got the Zaino stuff to try it out and honestly.. so far.. I'm still a fan of Zymol. Fewer products to screw around with and the end result is still excellent. But Zaino is still a very good product.. i wont knock it.

contact Phil there. He frequents Quattroworld a lot and most of his postings in the detailing forum have been recommendations of the Menzerna products. That Swissvax package thing is way overkill. You're better off buying specific individual products for each application.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your thoughts. Frankly, if I can just stick with a more traditional few step process, I would rather do that than Zanio. They would be...

Degrease
Wash
Dry
Compound or Swirlfiller or Wax Remover
Cleaner Wax or Glaze
Wax
Polish Metal and etc (chrome)
Leather and Dash Conditioner
Tire Shine

Note, last two steps are pretty much for my car.

Apparently it does.

Stick with the same steps you use on your car. Of course everything will be much quicker on the bike than the car. I assume you aren't doing this every time? The full detail routine is really only necessary 3-4 times a year...and that's if you ride a lot.

You might want to throw a claybar routine in there.
