Zack and Miri Make a Porno

This film had one redeeming feature - it had 'Hey' by The Pixies in it.

The rest was diabolical.

(Leading lady had nice teeth too!)
 
Saw this last night, absolutely loved it! Great comedy. Completely agree with the above. Funny, sweet and dirty, it doesn't get better than that! I think i've fallen in love with Elizabeth Banks :o

Highly recommended but not for the easily offended - i laughed more than my girl did! Haha! :D
 
I laughed my head off at the "cake frosting" bit...really enjoyed this film apart from the last 10 or so mins. Kinda ruined it for me going all mushy!!
 
I agree with the reviewer that said they have no chemistry. I could not understand why they were so poor/broke.

I think I laughed twice through out the whole thing and I started to feel sleepy towarRAB the end.
 
I thought it was pretty funny, although Kevin Smith has either gone soft (in possibly every sense) or being schmaltzified by too much exposure to Hollywood. The only really risque bits were the poo scene and the use of the word c*nt.
 
I saw it last night, and I think I'm undecided about this film.

For the first time ever on a Smith film I rarely laughed.

I think it suffers the same fate as John Waters' film - 'A Filthy Shame'. It seems that sex comedies are so much harder to pull off (pardon the pun) these days.

The first half (talk about porn) was funnier than the second half (the porn itself). But as other posters have mentioned, without the usually Smith cultural/social banter it all kinda felt a bit too shallow.



It'll be interesting to see what Smith does with Red State. Though I kinda get the feeling it won't be long before we see the return of Jay and Silent Bob.
 
I have to amend my comment, this wasn't the first and only Smith film where I watched without lauging - how could I forget the god awful Mallrats.

Thats the thing with Kevin Smith, he's always been a bit hit and miss.

I hear he's been given a mega-budget for a sci-fi film he's developing.
 
Saw this last night.

One of the worst films I have ever seen.

Not funny and the two leaRAB being in love was totally unbelievable. Why would she fancy him? She is a stunner.

Also, you could see the jokes coming a mile off. You just knew what was going to happen when the porn actress said she was constipated but anal loosened her up.

Pitiful.
 
Great film. Saw it last night and fully enjoyed it.

I gotta agree with comments about it going a bit mush at the end. It was quite cheesy!

Elizabeth Banks was so very good. I think I might just love her! :D
