Which phone is worth buying more and why...
Sony Ericsson Z520a
or
Motorola V360
...and what do you guys think the value of these phones is right now...???

I'd say it depends on your needs and your carrier. If price is important you could get significant discounts w/ contract or contract renewal through the carrier. the Z520a is part of Cingular's lineup while the V360 is part of T-Mobile's. Not sure about the unlocked prices though so you may have to shop around.

The V360 has expandable memory via microSD so it can be used as a music player if you need such a thing. The V360 also has EDGE which makes it faster for browsing. It's only triband 850 though, so if you use the phone to travel you will be missing the quadband of the Z520a. The V360 also has a better display.

the thing is im being offered one of those phones for free...and my carrier is Fido...im not worried about getting them unlocke as much as when it comes too whats the best one so it won't go crazy on dropping calls, or have low signal...

I'm not sure how good FIDO's cutomer service is, but with the carriers I've dealt with, there is usually some sort of warranty, so if your new phone doesn't pick up a signal well enough, it usually warrants a replacement or a fair exchange where you pay the difference on a more expensive replacement.

I checked out FIDO's lineup. They actually have some OK deals, the drawback is that you have to get a 3 year contract to get the best deals and they have marginal deals for the 2 year.

If you are going to get a phone with no contract, you may want to shop around for a basic unlocked phone because it might actually be cheaper than going through your provider.
