z520a infrared......

does anyone know exactly how the whole transferring of files to and from your computer using infrared works? the manual didn't say much about it.

do all laptops have a infrared thingy? i'm clueless....

it probably wont work, but it works well with another Z520a, i dont know if you can use just any IR device
 
I tried to pair two Z500a's together (mine and a friend's) by IR and it would'nt work. Maybe we did something wrong. We ended up sharing our ringtones by Bluetooth transfer. Gotta luv Bluetooth :)
 
I got it to work, you have to download the PC Suite from Cell Phone Forums - Your Cell Phone Source (warning, infrared transfers are horribly slow!!!) id prefer bluetooth or USB
