z500 connection

when connecting z500 via proper usb cable selecting qualcomm mode in menu(*#123580#) opt9,6 with qualcomm drivers loaded, device manager detects fone assigns comport to it then fone goes blank and dissappears from device manager can anybody shed some light on this
