Z107 problem

Ok it has phone freeze problem. I know solution has been posted here but the problem i have is that I dont have a serial port on my laptop to short the pins out? have used movilcom 2.0.2 to try to reset the handset but no good. is there any other way around this problem. Im using original usb cable came with the phone,
 
i just connected a usb to serial cable to the laptop and shorted the pins as was previously said and it worked out just fine, (used qualcom)
