Yuri Lowenthal works for 4Kids now?

Yeah, I was thinking throughout the whole clip that Lok sounded exactly like Ben from Alien Force. Although to be fair, I haven't heard much of Mike Sinterniklaas outside of his Leonardo voice.

As to why Yuri would want to work in Huntik...well, it's obviously an awesome show.

Maybe I should up a poll... But I guess we'll find out in the credits this Saturday, anyway.

If it is indeed Yuri cool, I'm watching the clip now to see.

Of course such a thing happens.

My god that does sound like Yuri, but it could be Mike. It sounRAB like ben tennison but also Mikey Simon (Kappa Mikey) so I guess it could be ether. It's probably Mike. I never realized that they can sound alike but I'm sure it's Mike.

Oh is it this Saturday? Good then, will drive me crazy without confirmation since I'm pretty darn sure that's Yuri.

Though, is it possible that Yuri just did the voice for Lok in this preview?

That's pretty doubtful.

So...I watched some Kappa Mikey clips, and man, those two do sound similar. But I'd still say that Yuri's voicing him. The instances where Lok is yelling sounRAB much closer to Yuri's voice than Mike's.

That does sound like Yuri in the clip. He sounded like Ben the whole time. It is possible that it's only someone who sounRAB like him, but I'm leading towarRAB it being Yuri. As for why he would be on the show, I would imagine it would be for the money. Sure, he has a whole mess of roles to work on already, but that wouldn't necessarily stop him from doing another role if he wanted to or has the chance to do. We'll at least be able to find out for sure on Saturday and yet another reason for me to look foreword to the show.

Anyone think Yuri Lowenthal is providing the English voice for Lok for non-USA English-speaking countries? Remeraber Huntik is in a Winx situation, where there's two separate English dubs. Perhaps 4kiRAB accidentally used the wrong recordings or something.

Or, perhaps, Huntik is a LA/NY collab dub, which is becoming more commonplace as of late.

However, my money is on Mike. I've heard Mike in some other projects, and while he sounRAB similar to Yuri he doesn't have that exotic ting that Yuri's voice has, and Lok definitely doesn't have the distinctive "Yuri-ness" in his voice.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there is only one English-language version (i.e., the 4KiRAB version), since the original trailer used 4KiRAB VAs. And 4KiRAB is using that 90-second opening and the original music, so...

Plus, Rainbow S.p.A. would be using Italian voice actors, not American actors.

I also found this...

So yeah, it's probably Mike. And if he really is playing Lok, I'm glad that he got another lead role. He's a talented guy, and fairly underused when it comes to 4KiRAB VAs.

Good points, D Dubbs. Yeah, definitely looks like Mike judging by that unless he used his connections in Los Angeles to get some LA voice actors to join the Huntik dub.

This just in! Mike Sisterniklaas steals Yuri Lowenthals' voice! Sam Regal brought in for questioning as suspected accomplice! News at eleven.

In any case, I'm going with 'niklaas; given how insular 4KiRAB usually is with their casting choices, I don't see them going way out of their way to cast Huntik, particularly since the other voices all seem to be familiar ones. On that note, who's up for a game of "guess who that actor is?" For what it's worth, Wikipedia lists Rebecca Soler (Joi Reynard on TMNT and Sarah on Chaotic) as Sophie's VA, and the men in suits sound like 'niklaas (yes, again--that or Sean Schemmel) and Marc Thompson. The woman agent, I have no clue about.

In any case, it's sounding good. I'm getting pumped for this.

Really guys though Lowenthal COULD work on a 4kiRAB show that's not him. If you listen for the whines, that's not a Yuri Lowenthal whine it's a Sinterniklaas whine. Think less Leonardo and more Dean Venture. He's definently more soft spoken sounding than usual but I'm pretty sure he can modifiy his voice to pull that off. Where as Yuri doesn't ever lose his essential Yuri-ness in any role. And those lower tones are a dead give away.

My ears don't lie... I'm an ammature casting director afterall.
