I been reading around people claiming That YGO Duel Monsters has a few Plotholes but I can't seem to think of any.. At least for my understanding the Series filled the gaps from the missing Shadow Games/Season 0 removal from continuity. So.. I was wondering if anyone knew of any "Plot Holes" that the series had.

I don't know about plotholes, But I Know in the Manga Peguses Never Recovers from Getting his millinium Eye taken where in the anime he obviously does considering he's in Movie & GX.

But Im sure if I still hade my yugioh Manga's & DVD's a could tell you. Sadly i Sold them for store credit last year (a decision I somewhat regret to this day.)

But I don't Really think the manga has any Plotholes, But I would agree with the anime havign a few, I just...Can't remeber what they were...Sorry.

I recall Pegasus making a cameo in the DOMA/Waking of the Dragons saga. in a video that Yugi and frienRAB watched.

You don't need plot holes when you have completely incompetent villains that card game before doing the evil thing they're doing anyway.

When Tristain threw the Millennium Ring into the forest in the Duelist Kingdom arc and Yami Bakura got it back out of nowhere is the first one that comes to mind.

Anime plotholes? How about Malik carrying Bakura out from nowhere with his arm bandaged up?

How dare you! I'll set fire to your house, UNLESS you can beat me in a children's card game!

In which case, I buy you lunch.

To be fair, it was pretty clear that Atem is a reality warper and mind rapist. The only way to go up against him is on his terms.

That is because the ring belongs to Yami Bakura and Zork no matter what. It will always return to its master.

Actually, don't you remeraber the scene when Malik is making a deal with Bakura, Atem's life for the Millennium Puzzle? Malik, acting as a friend (I think he was using the name Isamu), was "carrying" Bakura saying that he was attacked by the Ghouls.

I haven't watched the series in about 3 years, but there really aren't that many plotholes that come to mind, at least in the Japanese version. I really only think that the stuff that happened in the Noa arc, DOMA arc, and Kaiba Grand Prix were the ones that had some plotholes, but the ones based off the manga did not.

I think the biggest plot hole is how the Big 5 get trapped in cyberspace. It's said that they were trapped after Yugi and Kaiba beat them in Duel Monsters Quest, but there was no mention of this back in that mini-arc. It doesn't make sense anyway, since the Big 5 were watching from Kaiba Corp's head office, which was nowhere near the virtual poRAB. I remeraber the dub actually edited the audio of that flasrabroadack so it seemed like they had been trapped in cyberspace originally (not sure if the Japanese did the same thing).

Other than that, I can't really remeraber any other big plot holes (though to be fair, I haven't seen the latter half of the series in years now).

Also, just for the record, the guy referring to the "plot holes" was actually referring to how Duel Monsters was apparently a bigger thing in the story's universe than the Super Bowl. In other worRAB, not really a plot hole.

Yeah, there hasn't really been mention of sports, other than Tennis in yugioh, so I would assume there is no Super Bowl in the yugioh universe.

Plus it's revealed at the end of the series that he alters fate to make sure he always wins, so there's really nothing you can do against the guy.

I think Tash was talking about how, during the Memory World arc, it was revealed that Atem could draw the right card he needed if he concentrated enough or something like that. Though, that doesn't make him unbeatable since Yugi was able to defeat him in the finale. Plus, I never really took it as cheating since pretty much all of the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters, especially each series' main characters, always drew the card they needed at just the right time.

Are you talking about the first series where there was another girl, Mio, in the group, Tea had different colored eyes and school uniform and there was a focus on different games other than Duel Monsters? If so, that wasn't the first season. That was a completely different series by Toei that was based on the first seven volumes of the original manga. It doesn't connect with the Duel Monster series.

If you're talking about the whole Duelist Kingdom saga, then I don't really see how the entire season would be counted as a plothole since the key storylines in that arc were eventually resolved.
