Yu-Gi-Oh GX Season 3 Finale and Season 4

When are the last 24 episodes of GX going to be aired or are they at all? Is CN picking up the rest of the series? The episode that aired yesterday on CW4KIDS looked like it could have been used as a finale. Was this the networks way of ending the show to make room for 5D's? If it is I am sad. This series turned out to be amazing after it started out shaky 3 years ago.

5D's looks a little "far out". It doesn't even really make a heck of a lot of sense. They are getting very far away from Domino- where Yu-Gi-Oh and GX started. And they're not even using Kaiba Corp technology anymore. I hope it doesn't make Yu-Gi-Oh lose all its popularity. I love the card game!

I'm going with "we don't know" for all of the above.

Actually, 5D's takes place in the future, in NEW DOMINO CITY, so it's not like it's going too far.

All three Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series take place in the same universe. GX happens 10 years after the original, and 5D's takes place about 15 years after that.

The only thing that confused me in GX is that Atem gave Jaden Winged Kuriboh when he was supposed to be back in Egypt. I hope Jaden is in the first episode of 5D's or is somehow involved with it. Afterall he is the Supreme King.

I'm hoping Cartoon Network picks up the last season. Darn you CW4KIDS

No idea.

It makes no more or no less sense than the other two shows did.

They're still in Domino.

KaibaCorp appears in the first episode. Why are you just saying random things?

I doubt it'll kill Yu-Gi-Oh!'s popularity.

More importantly, how is this not in the anime forum?

In the last episode of GX jaden duels Yugi who turns into the Pharoah and the pharoah then summons Slifer

Its not in the anime forum because it has to deal with 4KIDS. My original question was when the show was going to air next.

We don't have any clue when season four of GX will air. I do think that it is possible for CN to air the rest of the series, considering they're finishing the rest of season three, but we'll have to wait and see. I really don't think that they could have used the episode that aired yesterday as the finale. For starters, it was way too sad to conclude the series. It also didn't really feel like a conclusion to the series. A sad conclusion to season three, even though there's techincally one other episode left in season three? Yes, but not one for the series. Too much of an open ending for my tastes. I know what you mean about how the series kind of had a rocky start when it first preimered, but I thought that GX improved greatly ever since season two.

From what I've read and seen, 5D's doesn't sound any more "far out" than any of the other Yu-Gi-Oh! series. It's been confirmed that it takes place in Neo Domino City and in the near future. I'm pretty sure that they're still using Kaiba Corp technology. I seriously doubt that it will make Yu-Gi-Oh! any less popular. The series themselves haven't been popular for awhile, but the card game is still doing fine. In fact, most comments I've read online say that 5D's is better than GX, especially with establishing a plot early on. Even though I love GX and all, I could see 5D's having a better plot in their first season than the first season of GX did.

The title of this thread is Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Season 3 Finale and Season 4. That has more of a focus on the anime more than 4Kids. People easily have made topics about an anime, like GX, in the anime section before. So maybe this could simply be moved there, which wouldn't cause a problem.

So 5D's takes place 15 years after GX or after Duel Monsters? Ever since I first heard about 5D's, I often wondered how far it took place in the future, espeically since that wasn't included in the information about the show, unlike with GX.

We don't know. Not to be rude, but you could've done research on this before making this thead.

There's really no reason for Judai to be in 5D's. His story ended, we've moved onto Yusei.

He's doing his research now by asking on the forums. :D

And there was no reason for Yugi to be in the first episode of GX either. His story ended and they moved onto Jaden. But they still had him in there. So I dont see any reason as to why he wouldnt make an appearance.

Anyway, i'm a little concerned about the new series, i dont see what races has to do with duel monsters.

I am still somewhat surprised that this thread hasn't been moved to the anime section since it really has more to do with the different Yu-Gi-Oh! series than it does with 4Kids.

From what I've read and seen in the opening theme, there's a new way to duel in 5D's, which is through racing in motorcycles. Duelists have to ride on their motorcycles and play a duel at the same time. There's still standing duels too and my guess is that they added that new way of dueling to make 5D's stand out from the other Yu-Gi-Oh! series, as well as the fact that its connected to the storyline. It looks kind of cool to me.

That's true. Seeing the pictures and the opening theme keeps on making me think how cool it would be if they make a Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's video game, which they probably will at some point, that had both ways of dueling possible for the players. Man, just the image of a racing card game video game is pretty cool to me.
