I don't know if this is true or not but from what i've been told from Yugioh.wikia.com this what they said in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's section:
Currently, episode 53 has still not aired. However, there are rumors that episode 53-55 will be airing online on the 4KidsTv website on 11/26/09 with episode 56 airing on TV from 11/28/09.
Also i got a mail from 4Kids TV saying that new episodes will be avilable only on Cartoon Network and 4Kidstv.com?

Could this happen??:confused::confused::confused::confused::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Dunno why this wasn't posted in the 4Kids discussion thread, but anyway, since 5D's is only airing on CN for the time being, it's understandable that they'd air newly-dubbed episodes after they catch up to the CW's airings. And they're already airing 32 next Saturday, with 27-30 airing next week Monday-Friday. The Saturday episodes are airing pretty early, though.

Considering that this is coming from a wikia site, I wouldn't put too much faith into this information. The key word in the Wikipedia is "rumor" so it may not be true. I could see them doing something like this though, especially with 5D's only airing on Cartoon Network and their website. If they weren't able to put up episode 53 on their On Demand section, I have a hard time believing that they'll be able to do that in a few weeks, even though that would be kind of cool.

Unless they're talking about airing episode 56 in the U.K., I don't think that's going to happen. As GymLeaderLance99 mentioned, Cartoon Network will air episode 32 this Saturday, so they're over twenty episodes behind 56. Unless they start having premier episodes on the weekday slot again, which I don't see happening, I don't think that Cartoon Network would be able to air episode 56 by the end of the month.

I would rather 5D's air on CN rather than CW4Kids or 4Kids.com because I think it would have the best chance for ratings success and CN could repeat them throughout the week if someone missed the premiers on Saturday mornings. Either way, I have this gut feeling that 4Kids is in deeper financial trouble than they are letting on.

That's a good point. 5D's most likely would have more exposure airing on Cartoon Network than on the CW4Kids block or their website. I don't think that a lot of people know about that block since 4Kids isn't like a household name. Plus, as you mentioned, they repeat episodes throughout the week. If it wasn't for the huge gap between the airings of both channels, I wouldn't mind 5D's being only on Cartoon Network right now.

Why would they do that when Bakugan is more visable a product right now than 5D's? Walk down the toy aisle at Wal-Mart and you will see that it's dominated by a 6 foot section of Bakugan toys and cards (mine is anyway) and then take a walk through the childrens clothing section and you will see so many Bakugan themed shirts, hoodies and backpacks compared to 5D's, and thats if you see anything 5D's. Plus, Bakugan has DVD's out there and they come out every month, 5D's has no DVD's on the U.S market right now and I have not heard anything about a future release either. 5D's will probably remain in the AM for now or they will place it on around the same time as Bakugan but it's definatly not going to replace the show.

Next thing I want is 4 Kids to get back the Pokemon rights and reunite most of the original Pokemon voice cast (Veronica Taylor, Eric Stuart, and Rachel Lewis; but Maddie Blaustein unexpectedly passed away in 2008).

Yugioh makes much more money tha Bakugan does. It isn't a toy market like Bakugan though. Go to any card store and it is the top product

I would love for the remaining original cast members to return to their roles in Pokemon, but I seriously doubt that 4Kids would be able to get the rights to Pokemon back. PUSA/TPCI has a lot more money than 4Kids does, considering they handle the series and the card game. Besides that, 4Kids is not in the legal shape to even attempt to get the rights back.

Interestingly enough, until last Thursday, Cartoon Network did list 5D's in the time slot that Bakugan is in right now. You bring up a good point about how marketable Bakugan is right now. While I don't know how well the DVDs do, I know that the toy sales are impressive. 5D's, and Yu-Gi-Oh! in general, has never been focused on the toys. There are figures for the characters and monsters, but it's mostly focused on the card game and a bit on the video games. Plus, Yu-Gi-Oh! is still in one of the top three most sold TCG in North America.

That was a rumor on the 4Kids website and the person who posted it says he knows people that work on the dub.

Sure, 5D's may be selling a ton of card games in hobby stores and at toy stores and they have like 1 video game on store shelves to represent the franchise, but Bakugan has them beat in overall merch such as DVD's, toys, clothing, video games and other products, 5D's has cards......yeah...

CN would also pick whichever franchise earns more for them for a spot like 7pm on a Saturday night, Bakugan deserves the spot much more than 5D's.

Just no. Yugioh sells way too many cards that Bakugan can top. Overall, yugioh has sold the most cards period in the world, 21 billion, as of last year. I am certain yugioh holds it's fans longer as well, and can out sell Bagukan in any market specialty.

Cards are just cards, but overall merch is where the $$$ is. Walk through Wal-Mart or target and you will notice jackets, t-shirts, sweatpants and backpacks with the Bakugan logo on it, you may (if your lucky) see one shirt with the Yugioh 5D's logo on it. If this was 10 years ago it would be different, but facts are facts and you can't compare trading cards to a mass media marketing blits that is Bakugan right now. Just two days ago I went to Wal-Mart to do some food shopping and right smack dab in the middle of the sales floor was a display with the Bakugan toys on one side and sneakers and winter gloves/hats with Bakugan characters all over them on the other. There is a new Bakugan video game that just came out and 2 more in the works right now and let's not get into DVD's which produce serious $$$ for franchises. Bakugan has something like 6 DVD's on the market right now with more and more coming out, there is STILL no U.S release date for a 5D's DVD to be released as of last month when I checked.

I understand you are a bigger fan of 5D's than of Bakugan and to a certain extent I am too, but facts are facts and like I said, if this was the original Yugioh then you would be right because 10 years ago it was everywhere, even more than Bakugan is now, but the truth is that Bakugan is more popular than 5D's is right now when it comes to shelf space and merch sales and it's going to remain that way until 5D's steps it up in that department.

Also, check out the ratings for Bakugan as of late, it's been averaging a 1.8 on CN while 5D's has been averaging a 1.5, I know it's only a .3 difference but that equates to over 400,000-500,000 viewers more. Thats a decent number in viewership there buddy ;)

AnimationX, this is why I said 4kids should try and focus more on yugioh than their failing Chaotic. They can invest more into merchandising relations with Konami and get more things out there, including DVDs, which is where yugioh can shine, as it has over twice as many episodes as Bakugan does. They could also set up an online aspect with Konami as head of it all, bringing yugioh to former glory, seeing as it was the sixth richest brand back in 2006.

Not to mention that yugioh so has a gam coming out, Tag force 4, if only it were for the DS. One was announced a month ago, WC10 for the DS. In America, Bakugan can live, but in Japan, yugioh far beats Bakugan with a movie coming early 2010, among other things.

I was not talking about Japan, I was talking about the United States and it's spot on Cartoon Network, which was the argument at hand. Japan is a whole different story entirely. Here in America Bakugan is the more popular overall franchise at the moment and the proof is in the products on the shelves and the ratings on the 'tube. I'm sure Yugioh is more popular in Japan due to it having a rich history there and the Japanese being a loyal crowd.
