YTV's getting Futurama (and other shows), but I don't know why

Teletoon in Canada already has it, so there's no real point having it on 1 and a half stations owned by Corus (they own 50% of Teletoon according to their Wikipedia entry). As for other shows, they have "Legion of Super Heroes", "Naked Brothers Band" (I don't get it either) and "Pinky and the Brain" (it's unknown if they're going to get the series with Elmyra).

I don't understand why Futurama is even airing on YTV either. There has been no mention of Teletoon giving up the rights and I'm already seeing promos on YTV. Maybe Pepperidge can clear the air?

Don't look at me! I don't work at Corus! Although I do find it a bit suspicious that both YTV and Teletoon aired the same episode tonight. The whole thing does seem very odd, mainly because YTV and Teletoon haven't aired such a high profile title concurrently before. I'm not sure if it's because Corus is able to broadcast the show on both stations, or because the rights are transferring to YTV in 2008.

Guess we'll have to wait and see!

It's hard to tell, but I believe Teletoon may still have it on, just not as much as before. Besides, quite a few shows have shifted between the different networks such as YTV and Treehouse along with Teletoon. Corus owns both YTV and Treehouse so you can tell if one show moves from one station to the other. This is the list of YTV's current and past shows which includes all the "new" shows they have on which are either older shows or have been seen on other non-Canadian stations.

I'd have to go through the list of shows that were on both. I know a few of them.
