Youtube, Help! How big should the bckground image be?

HEY!, in youtube, on my channel, i want to put a background foto the right size, so that the foto doesnt have to repeat.
How much should the foto ocupy?
Ive tried 1277 x 1429 , but not big enough

People have different sized computer screens, so if you background doesn't repeat, it wont fill up the whole screen for other people on other computers.

My brother has a 23 inch computer screen and because my background image repeats, his whole screen is filled in (no black edges). It also fits on my 19 inch screen as well.

But try resizing the image to these propertions:

1024 x 768
1152 x 864
1280 x 768
1280 x 960
1280 x 1024
1600 x 1200
