Youtube: FLV vs MP4? READ PLZ?

Some music videos can be download as MP4 as 360p or FLV as 480p. I heard that MP4 has better quality but the FLV has a higher resolution based on my options...I want the videos mainly for my ipod classic 160gb(So size don't matter, Quality does!). If the FLV is the same as MP4 in quality then the FLV with higher resolution will obviously win but I'm mostly about sound quality rather than image quality since I'll be mostly listen instead of watching the videos...I can also convert the FLV into MP4 since ipod can't read FLV files
 
I found these two answers...

the MP4 one will be high quality (H.264) and the FLV one will be a lower quality version.

FLVs are good for decent quality and they load quickly, but MP4 is higher quality.

I would say mp4 has higher quality (its sound is great as far as I know),but for resolution, I think they're pretty much the same
