Your Top Five Anime Characters and Why

1. Vash the stampede (Trigun); he represents everything i love in an anime character. He is the clumsy and humourous hero but at the same time he is extraordinarily skilled and emotional, he dresses awesomely and the VA for both the sub and dubs are really well done

2. Sailor Jupiter (Sailor Moon); My first ever anime crush!!!! Lightning is my favourite element in sailor moon, and shes the leggy brunette whose fist response to anything is to kick is arse!

3. Maito Gai (Naruto); He is an emotional and inspirational character, his sense of style is wicked but his duty to his students, namely lee, reminds me of myself and my nephew... episode 100 was a tear jerker

4. Jiraiya (naruto); He is the pervert we all wanna be, powerful and wise, comedy relief more often than not but when it comes down to it he becomes the inspirational ultra ninja of the world! he is too awesome in his character and physically he is cool for an old man

5. Kawamura (Prince of Tennis); BURRRRRRRNING!!!!!! YEAHHHH BABY!!!!!!! hahahah this guy is just wicked when he has a tennis racquet in his hand. He is the typical bi-polar character you always see in anime but his trigger isnt a sneeze or a food, its a simple raquet and he can unleash insane power and skill in one of the greatest sports in anime!
 
Yagami Light (Death Note) - Because his world views and actions resemble my own, in the end only you matter. Use, abuse, kill, torture .. anything goes for your own personal goal.Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass) - He was an intelligent devil, or so I like to think. It's so easy decive a simple human brain and make them think whatever you want, not to mention he was travelling with the hottest anime-chick. ;]Vincent Law (Ergo Proxy) - Confused about the world around him, having a honest - yet smart personality is what I really liked about him. Not to mention the proxy inside him..Ulquiorra Schiffer (Bleach) - Quiet, intelligent and powerful. He knows more than he shows and has been one of my favorites ever since I saw him first time. Though he's kinda short. =.=Toutaku Chuuei (Ikkitousen) - A person with a really intresting story and personality, even though he was a masochist he was a awesome villain until he lasted. He managed to gain something what is only meant for the special ones, and thus he's in my top list.
 
1. Alucard: Great character, well-developed personality. Alucard's really an extraordinary character in the world of anime for me. Moreover, one of a kind. He takes bullets to the chest like a real man should.

2. Guts: The muscular male protagonist of Berserk. He's a loner, an urban legend (The Black Swordsman) and has great potential in terms of swordfighting; more than Griffith. Overall, a great character. Also, probably the reason why Berserk is the greatest manga/anime I've read/seen to this date. (the anime sucks, but w/e)

3. Vash The Stampede: Makes a comical appearance in the series, but can be serious when necessary. He tries to keep his identity secret by acting completely out of character and give dumb responses.

4. Seta Soujiro: Can put up a great act and can hide his emotions very easily, like it's normal. It's even more awesome when he snaps and subsequently goes mentally insane.

My top five characters:

1- Takeshi Momoshiro (from Prince of tennis)

2- Uryu Ishida (from Bleach)

3- Shikamaru Nara (from Narut)

4- Kakashi Hatake (from Naruto)

5- Shiki (from Vampire Hunter)
 
O gawd..only 5? Man..these are just 5 that I can think of at the moment...I could never choose only 5 characters.

~#1: Horo the Wise (Spice and Wolf): What can I say? Who does not love a hot wolf chick? But seriously, shes gotta be the best character i've seen as far as personality, maybe its because she reminds me alot of who i might choose in a girlfriend personality wise? I don't know but shes cute, funny, and pretty smart..and her looks are cuuutee..

~#2: Mugen (Samurai Champloo): Comon...how can you not like Mugen? Sure hes a arrogant little 6%^hole, but that's what makes him cool! If i could I would put Jin and Mugen together as one character because i love the polar opposites between them and how they portrayed it in the anime. But hes a strong fighter, brash, harsh, and break dances! Has a great throwing arm too! Whats not too like.

~3# Kyon (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya): Man... Was I looking into a mirror when I watched Kyon... Its not that hes dynamic, or has good development or anything, its just with my old group of friends where i used to live, i played a Kyon kinda role... just was nostalgic for me, I dunno its just a personal thing why I like him.

~4# Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop): When i was just a youngster watching this... I thought he was the baddest ($#%@#$@ ever. I mean he was strong, had looks, was cool and smooth as heck. Funny comon now..when i was about 12 or so when watching this i wanted to be just like him when I grew up. Besides that fact I now enjoy the story behind him and why he is what he is now and what he does..

~5# Matsuri Shihou (Sola): She made me laugh. I enjoyed the introduction of her character, and the way she tried so hard to get a drink that apparently tasted horrible. Not that she was a super character, but i loved the way she was drawn and the subtle relationship between her and Yorito. All in all when i think of how a leading female character should be, it should be similar to her. I see so many bad ones it makes me sick.
 
1. Jin - From Samurai Champloo. He Is well mannered and is a good swordsman. He Just has a vibe and looks cool.

2. Vash - From TriGun. He is funny unstopable and well he's just gr8. He's cool and I like him

3. Asuka Tachibana - From Scryed. His "Eternity Eight" alter is pretty sweet and I wouldn't mind having such an ability

4. Tsume - From Wolf's Rain. He is tough and self-reliant. He reminds me a lot about myself because I keep my true feelings to myself

5. Sasuke Uchiha - From Naruto. Sadly I only watched about 29 episodes of Naruto and I like him so far, Because he has a lot self confidence and he doesn't allow people to walk over him

I dont have a top 5 for right now, but heres my top 3.

Hm... well it will be tough since all but one of them are female but anyway,

I. Chikane/Himeko- Kannazuki No Miko
This one was a toughie, I like both of them pretty much on equal grounds and I couldn't dare place one higher than the other since they both have good qualities and bad ones that in the end all connect and counter-balance so I'll just place them as a Tie for #1 and let you decide who YOU think is the better of the two. While I think Chikane-chan is prettier, I admire Himeko's determination in the end to save Chikane. Like I said up to you o.o'

II. Lucy - Elfenlied
My 2nd fav would have to be Lucy from Elfenlied. While Nyuu is adorable beyond belief, I admire Lucy's story more than Nyuu's looks; Despite her attitude and personality I find her an extremely down to earth individual who was merely unfortunate in her upbringing, this, along with the fact that she's very cute, places her as my second fav.

III. C.C (A. K. A C2) - Code Geass
my 3rd fav is probably only so because I like her quirky behavior, she analyzes everything and seemes to enjoy teasing Lelouch with her inquisitive being o.o'

IV. Edward - Full Metal Alchemist
I chose this as my only guy fav because I love his personality; aside from being comedic and the fact that I can relate to being short compared to most of the people around me, he's an incredibly determined individual who made his way to my fav list in how he fights for not only himself but his brother as well.

V. Anko - Naruto
She barely made my favorites list and most of it I'm not going to lie had to do with looks, she's downright attractive o.o' aside from that I did feel somewhat for her past and being brought up by Orochimaru so that played a minor part in my decision but there's no denying she looks hot o.o
 
Not in any particular order:

1. Sesshomaru (InuYasha)- He is my favorite character because of his attitude. He acts like he's stuck-up and selfish as well as an anti-social guy. But, he has some compassion that he didn't even know that he had. Also, despite his hatred for humans, he still has a soft spot for Rin. Also, I quite like how this character was created and the fact that he is strong and is immune to all poisons.

2. Koga (InuYasha)- Another one of my favorite InuYasha characters. Despite his bad manners, he is a very interesting character. I like how he can get under InuYasha's skin and mess with him until they're practically engaged in battle over such silly things such as both of their feelings for Kagome. Or, exchanging words with one another.

3. Kiba and Akamaru (Naruto)- I put these two together since they're basically a team and they're inseperable. I like these two because they are from a dog-type clan and can understand each other. They also protect each other from harm. I like how Kiba is very protective of Akamaru and would kill anyone who tries to harm him.

4. Tear Grants (Tales of the Abyss)- I like this character because of her attacks and how strong she is. She protects Luke by throwing herself in front of him to block an attack, but ends up getting injured. She also can heal herself and others when they are injured. One of her attacks is singing. When she sings, she puts her opponent under a spell and renders them either unconscious or unable to move. I also like the design of this character her clothes are very nice and her hair is pretty.

5. Ryuk (Death Note)- The only character besides Mikami that I actually like from this series. I quite like this characters design too. Although he is interpreted as creepy and morbid looking, I find him to be interesting. His mannerisms are very hilarious and his obsession for apples is quite hilarious too.

These are what I can recall now. No anime otaku can choose 5 characters ever.
 
1. Uzumaki Naruto - Naruto - I love his Way of the Ninja. He will ecome Hokage and I wont give up on him :] He inspires me alot through his words and actions, they sometimes make me tear up its so good.

2. Vash - Trigun - He is the strongest thing on the face of the plannet and yet the most carring about it. His actions speek louder than his words ^.~

3. Sesshoumaru - Inu Yasha - He is a great character from his looks down to his personality.
I like the way he carries himself and many of his actions are noble even though he is a full-fledged demon, you dont get that every day. Sesshe is just the best all around and I think that they only chose a hanyou because a demon main char. has been overdone. And of course he is elite and that makes me love him more more more.

4. Shinta/Kenshin - Samurai X - He has been through alot and I love watching his story, I think that Kenshin grew alot durring his early years before the menji.

5. Al Elrik - FMA - poor Al, he is there for his brother all the time, and I just love edward so naturally I love AL as well. To go through what tragedy has become them and still be a good person is something I admire in him.

Ikki - Air Gear - Lol i like it how he doesn't take anything seriously
Lelouch - Code Geass - I need to explain?
Yagami - Death Note - Same as Lelouch. I prefer Lelouch a bit more.
Kanda - D.Gray man - I like his cold attitude.
 
1. Vash (Trigun) - his charecter reminds me of myself down to the bare bone. I'm always laughing at life not to mention his travels remind of my bar hopping

2.Onizuka (GTO) onizuka has a attitude about his life, he's very driven for his goal, to become the best teacher not to mention his perverted sense of humor gleems itself after his professional maner.

3.kakashi (Naruto) I havent seen a single person who doesn't love Kakashi. Kakashi oozes coolness not to mention he's one of the most powerfull ninja's of the hidden leaf village.

4. Spike(cowboy bebop) Like Kakashi who doesnt love spike. In my opinion spike is one of the most unique charectors in all of anime. He's a deep witted action maverick soothed with sarcasim and a style that bleeds sheer originality.

5.Kenshirow (fist of the north star) I remember buying all of fist of the north star when I was 16. The memories of this anime brings me back to my youth and all the wonderfull memories that accompany my childhood.
 
Ohh!!, my turn...

1. JUBEI(Ninja Scroll)- I loved dis guy since I've seen this movie... First..! The most honest yet clever and skilled character I've ever seen. He is da reason 4 mine 2 b in dis wonderful world of anime & manga....

2. BELLDANDY(AH! MY GODDESS)- May I have to describe her 2 u guys..? Honestly till nw Iv'nt seen such a positive nd naive character.!! Even I'v also learnt many thngs frm her naiveness and friendly attitude!! She cares nt only the one who she love but 4 all whoever she meets..!! This character inspired me a lot..!

3. Rurouni Kenshin(Runouni Kenshin)- Ya! i knw... the famous cross scar!! Like his style of his "Hiten Mitsuryugi Ryuu"....!! But more like the style he surprise "ORO"? LOLZ!! Such cute loving "Ken-Chan"..!!

4. Kasugano Midori(Midori no Hibi)- Ohh!! dat kawaii green eyes with green hair...!! A shy face..! Reminds me my ex girlfriend each and every time I see her!! Love da way she speakes....!!

5. Makoto Konno(The Girl who lept thru time)- Ohhh!! What Ive seen in dis girl I donno... but her stupidness and innocence made me.. SOMETHING!! Sooooooooooo Kawaiii!!!
 
This one's easy:

1) Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)- Hiei is super tough but deep down he's such a softie! And I love that!

2) Jin (Yu Yu Hakusho)- There's so many reasons why I love Jin. He's funny... even though I admit it's quite hard to understand him with his hardcore Irish accient and all. Besides that he's sooooooooooooo cute!

3) Fye (Tsubasa Cronicals)- ...Okay... I'm sure I spelt his name wrong. ...weeeelllll..... I like Fye because he's so nice and willing to help others.

4) Ren (Chibi Vampire)- He's awesome. Cute and flirty... and so sweet to his little sister Anju. Speaking of Anju...

5) Anju (Chibi Vampire)- Anju is adorable, I just love her! Her and her weird doll colecting hobbies.


And there is my top 5.
 
Ooh I haven't done this yet!

1. Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket: Well, Fruits Basket was (and still is) my first favorite anime. I guess throughout the manga, he's always hid his sweet personality underneath the tough guy exterior, and he's grown through the series. Basically, I would like a real life Kyo-kun. xP

2. L and Light from Death Note: It's definitely a tie for these two. I just can't choose one over the other. Their sharp wit and intellect is just amazing. I was hooked on Death Note because of the dynamics of these two characters. Unfortunately... *insert spoiler here*

3. Rukia from Bleach: While I haven't really been keeping up with the series lately, Rukia still holds a place in my top favorite characters. She's so funny when she comes to earth from Soul Society for the first time, but she also has a kickass attitude, and I loved the story about her past. I was really excited when she showed her real powers for the first time.

4. The girls in Azumanga Daioh: I knew a character from Azumanga Daioh had to be on my list, because I absolutely love the series. However, I can't just choose one. All of them without fail made me laugh uncontrollably at one point. Special mentions to Yukari, Nyamo, Sakaki, and Osaka.

5. Nodame from Nodame Cantabile: She's cute, clueless, a mess, and absolutely loves the piano. Just like me. Okay, maybe I'm not so cute. :P
